Your Conference is Growing!
|
|
Ontario Conference, by God’s grace, is showing progress in its initiative to bring an additional 10,000 souls to Christ by the year 2028, as shown in the latest statistical review from Executive Secretary Emile Maxi. The report reveals steady growth in 2023 in ten out of the eleven ministerial districts throughout Ontario. This growth is a result of baptisms into the Seventh-day Adventist Church, professions of faith and transfers, as faithfully recorded by each local volunteer church clerk.
This chart displays the most current membership information. To view the full report, including stats by district, click here.
Also, in the report, Pastor Emile expresses his appreciation, stating, “I would like to thank all church clerks for their faithful commitment and hard work in updating the church membership status on eAdventist (specifically baptisms, professions of faith, transfers and deaths) which facilitates the statistical report of the conference executive secretary’s office. I pray that God will reward them for their faithfulness and efforts.

London Adventurers Bring Joy to Meadow Park Long-Term Care
|
|
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Adventurer Club of the London Seventh-day Adventist Church spread joy and comfort to the residents and staff of Meadow Park London Long-Term Care on the Sabbath afternoon of March 16, 2024. The club, comprising enthusiastic children and their dedicated instructors, visited the facility located in London, Ontario.
The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as the young adventurers prepared to share their talents and brighten the day of the elderly residents and caregivers at Meadow Park. Around 20 elders and several nursing attendants eagerly awaited the performance, ready to be entertained and uplifted by the youthful energy and charm.
The children, with hearts full of compassion and voices resonant with melody, sang a selection of songs that captivated the audience. Their melodious renditions filled the room with warmth and joy, creating a serene ambiance that enveloped both performers and spectators alike. As the music echoed through the halls, smiles blossomed on the faces of the residents, and the burdens of everyday life seemed momentarily lifted.
In a touching gesture of goodwill, the audience was invited to share their favourite hymns, fostering a sense of unity and connection among all present. Time-honoured classics such as "Amazing Grace" and "Old Rugged Cross" echoed throughout the facility, serving as a reminder of the enduring power of faith and community.
As the afternoon unfolded, the children presented handcrafted souvenirs to the residents, each adorned with notable Bible verses chosen to inspire and uplift. These tokens of love and compassion were received with gratitude and affection, serving as tangible reminders of the bonds forged between the Adventurer Club and the Meadow Park community.
Reflecting on the visit, both residents and staff expressed their delight and appreciation for the heartfelt gesture. Many eagerly anticipated future visits, eager to once again experience the joy and companionship of the Adventurer Club.

On March 16 (Global Youth Day), Pastor Elvis Dumitru and members from the Sudbury Seventh-day Adventist Church gathered at the nearest blood center to donate plasma to support the youth initiative, "The Drop of Life!"
Knowing that the need for plasma donations is more critical than ever, these brave youth and young adults from Sudbury Church decided to play a vital role in saving lives and supporting those in need.
“There is no gift more precious than life," said Pastor Elvis. Our church wants to take a holistic approach, offering people in our community not only spiritual support but also emotional and physical support. Giving life to the people is one way we share our love and commitment to the well-being of our community.”
George Anyaehie, Business Development Manager for Plasma Donor Strategy, expressed his appreciation to our church.
“I am excited about collaborating with the Seventh-day Adventist Church to make a significant impact in our community. Your generosity is truly appreciated and brings hope to those in need.”
The members in Sudbury are happy to know they have played a vital role in saving lives, and they are committed to continuing to do their best in bringing Jesus to the people and making Sudbury a better place.
