About the Stewardship Department

Welcome to the Giving My Best (Stewardship) Ministries page, and thank you for visiting us. We are pleased to have you. Our theme is Committed to Giving My Best. As stewards of God, the Owner, we are invited to give our best to God. We are to give our best in the use of our time in worship, use of our body temple (taking care of our well-being), use of our talents (in witnessing), and use of our treasure (our wealth).

God entrusts us with responsibility for ourselves, our world, our fellow humans, and our material resources. God blesses our efforts as we live for Him. We are God’s stewards, entrusted by Him with time and opportunities, abilities and possessions, and the blessings of the earth and its resources. We are responsible to Him for their proper use. We acknowledge God’s ownership by faithful service to Him and our fellow human beings and by returning tithe and giving offerings for the proclamation of His gospel and the support and growth of His church. Stewardship is a privilege God gives us for nurture in love and the victory over selfishness and covetousness. Stewards rejoice in the blessings that come to others due to their faithfulness. “Every faculty you have, your power of thinking, or moving your limbs from moment to moment is given you by God. If you devoted every moment of your whole life exclusively to His service, you could not give Him anything that was not His own already.” C.S Lewis, Mere Christianity As to all that we have and are, we are but stewards of the Most High God. On all our possessions, on our time, and talents, and influence, and property, he has written, “Occupy for me, till I shall come.” To obey his instructions and serve Him faithfully, is the true test of obedience and discipleship. To educate, equip, empower, and inspire people within the Ontario Conference territory, inviting them to commit to give their best in funding and fulfilling the mission of hope and wholeness.

VISION:

People committed to God, giving their best and connecting like Jesus.

Relationship – We seek to connect with our Creator to be faithful to Him and His mission.

Faithfulness – In response to God’s love, we pledge to be loyal in all dimensions of our lives.

Sacrifice – Understanding what Christ sacrifice for us, we pledge everything for His glory.

Commitment – As Christ demonstrated His undying sacrifice towards us; unreservedly, we give back to Him.

Generosity – Christ’s infinite kindness inspires and motivates us to give our resources.

Obedience – Being created by God we are willing to do whatever He asks us to do with His resources.

HOW WE SERVE

Encourage spiritual renewal and empowerment of constituents in Christian and biblical stewardship. Provide stewardship resources of all formats to train our pastors, stewardship leaders, and all sectors of our congregations. Provide stewardship education on all aspects of stewardship, including financial management and systematic funding of the mission. Collaborate with Conference and local church ministries to create media resources for our webpage. Model accountability and responsibility amongst the various departments and ministries for greater and more effective use of resources
