Registration is now open for the Communications department’s May 1 writing training, entitled “Every Member a Writer.” This is our version of “Every Member a Missionary.” You may not be a powerful preacher, teacher or singer, but you can use writing to inspire others and share God’s love.
Join us for tips and tricks to improve your writing for print and online platforms and increase your missionary impact using the written word.
This can’t-miss training will be led by award-winning writer and editor Jarrod Stackelroth (Adventist Record and Signs of the Times Australia). He will share tips for writing for church publications and online platforms, as well as general principles to support any mission-minded writer.
Every Member a Writer will cover ….
- Effective news writing principles, print or digital
- Storytelling for more impactful writing
- How to tell your testimony
- Writing for a website or blog
- Crafting the perfect social media post
- Repurposing an article for multiple formats
- Editing hacks for sharper, more engaging writing
- Writing for Adventist vs. non-Adventist audiences
- Hands-on writing exercises
- And more!
