Rooted In Love
Allan Chichester | Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
The First Filipino-Canadian Seventh-day Adventist Church joyfully celebrated its Family Ministries Emphasis Sabbath with a special visit from Dr. Allan Chichester, Ontario Conference Director of Family Ministries. Dr. Chichester delivered both the morning message and an afternoon seminar, each centred on strengthening family relationships through the transforming power of Christ’s love.
The services were thoughtfully organized by Pastors Jesus Agol and Ariel Gabon, along with their dedicated team of leaders, and were well attended by members and guests alike.
During the morning worship service, Dr. Chichester invited the congregation to reflect on the Apostle Paul’s message in the book of Ephesians, emphasizing that believers are called to live lives rooted in love. He highlighted three key aspects of this calling:
- To be rooted and grounded in love
- To understand the depth of Christ’s love
- To grow and build in love
He reminded worshippers that God calls His followers to cultivate loving relationships—within the home, the church, and the wider community—through the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.
During the afternoon seminar, Dr. Chichester delved deeper into the importance of understanding family dynamics and how such awareness fosters growth, harmony, and resilience within relationships. Church members left encouraged and inspired to strengthen their homes and live out God’s love in every aspect of their lives.
