As the world wrestles with uncertainty and chaos, the timeless message of hope found in Jesus Christ continues to shine brightly. The Pentecost 2025: Truth for Today, Hope for Tomorrow was an inspiring evangelism series that brought together believers and seekers to experience spiritual renewal and rediscover the transforming power of the gospel. Hosted by the Mount Zion Filipino Seventh-day Adventist Church in Downsview, ON, from October 17 to 25, 2025, this nine-part series was a life-changing journey of faith, reflection, and renewed commitment.
At the heart of this dynamic series was guest speaker Pastor Jakov Bibulović, president of the Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church—a minister of the Word and compassionate leader. Through each message, he unpacked how enduring biblical truths speak to today’s challenges, offering hope for a brighter, Spirit-filled tomorrow.
The series unfolded with nine engaging sessions, each addressing a vital question of faith and life. From understanding who God is, to discovering how to start life anew, to exploring what happens after death, participants were guided through Scripture to find clear, Christ-centred answers. The messages emphasized the power of personal connection and spiritual transformation. Attendees were inspired by the uplifting music, heartfelt prayers, and practical teachings that culminated in the Sabbath afternoon finale, “Ambassadors for Christ: Living a New Life in Christ” and a joyful baptismal ceremony.
Reflecting on the event, Pastor Ardison Bernardo, lead pastor of the Mount Zion Filipino Adventist Church, ahred:
“Our Hope for Today, Truth for Tomorrow series was truly Spirit-led and prayer-filled, grounding us deeper in God’s Truth. Eight precious souls committed their lives to Jesus through baptism, and several more are now engaged in ongoing Bible studies as a result. I am deeply grateful to our MZFC Pentecost Committee for their dedication and for involving the entire church family. Their teamwork and commitment made this series a true success – all for God’s glory.”
Praise God for the Hope we have in Him!
