Pastor and Police Prayer Walk on April 30, 2026, Builds Stronger Connections
Posted: May 6th, 2026

Walking the streets of Toronto once again, the faith community joined hands across all 16 divisions of the Toronto Police Service. This wasn’t just a walk—it was a time of prayer, connection, and meaningful interaction. Participants engaged with residents, built relationships, and formed new friendships along the way.
Now in its third consecutive year—and the fifth citywide pastor and police prayer walk—this initiative continues to grow in impact. Chief Myron Demkiw spoke about “the power of this type of engagement in the community,” highlighting how collaboration between police, diverse faith groups, and local residents can truly make a difference.
It is inspiring to witness the response from people on the streets and in their cars as they pause to observe and realise that this group is walking through neighbourhoods, offering prayers and blessings.
Mayor Olivia Chow shared that this was her third time participating in the prayer walk, reflecting the growing support across the city.
Something meaningful is happening in Toronto. Consider this your personal invitation to join us for the next prayer walk this fall.
