Ontario Conference Launches OneVoice27/All Things New Through United Prayer

Over 750 members and friends of the Ontario Conference gathered virtually on Friday, September 11, 2026, beginning at 7:00 pm,
for a conference-wide prayer meeting launching the OneVoice27/All Things New initiative on Zoom, Roku and YouTube.
Jointly organized by the Conference’s Family, Prayer, and Media Ministries, the gathering took
place during Family Togetherness Week of Prayer and the 10 Days of Prayer, held September 6–
15.

This season of prayer was purposeful. Members prayed for families to remain united and
anchored in Christ while also seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance and power for OneVoice27. It
emphasized that strong families, united churches, and earnest prayer are essential foundations for
effective mission.

Dr. Willie Oliver, General Conference Family Ministries director, presented a timely message on
building anchored families in a digital world. Addressing today’s VUCA world—marked by
volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity—he reminded participants that “God has not
given us a spirit of fear” (2 Timothy 1:7). He invited families to return to the Word of God,
which has sustained God’s people throughout history and anchored them amid life’s fiercest
storms. He emphasized that families must intentionally cultivate togetherness through prayer,
loving communication, and the wise use of technology.

Pastor Jim Howard, president of Adventist World Radio (AWR), shared that AWR is joining arm
in arm with the Ontario Conference to reach Ontario in a special, focused way through
OneVoice27. Their aim is to be a voice of hope to a dying world, recognizing that media
ministry is most effective when combined with personal and public evangelism.

Pastor Howard invited members to an in-person rally and training event in Toronto on January
30, 2027. Described as the “Early Rain,” this phase will focus on generating Bible-study interest
through leased radio airtime, Hope Channel Canada, and a digital global Bible school, and
connecting interested individuals with the nearest local churches.

The summer 2027 “Latter Rain” training will equip churches to prepare people for baptism,
provide discipleship after baptism, and strengthen growing congregations. Pastor Howard
summarized the call to action: “If God’s people work, then evangelism works.”

Pastor Jakov Bibulović, Ontario Conference president, concluded with a heartfelt, powerful
prayer: a call for God’s people to humble themselves, deepen their spiritual walk, and pray as
Jesus prayed so His character may be revealed in their lives. He reminded members that when
they consecrate themselves to God each day, the Holy Spirit will unite them and empower them
to make disciples for Jesus.

With families anchored in Christ and churches united in prayer and mission, the Ontario
Conference is moving forward with one voice to reach souls for God’s kingdom.
