A historic milestone took place on March 8, 2026, at the Youth Chapel of the Willowdale Seventh-day Adventist Church in Toronto, as the Nominating Committee's report was presented and approved by the attendees. At this significant gathering, Mark De Leon, Communications Leader of College Park Church, was elected Chairman. In his new role, he will provide leadership and direction for the Network and serve as liaison with the Ontario Conference Communications and Media Ministry, fostering greater collaboration and communication among churches. Setting the tone for this inaugural event was the devotional message delivered by Pastor Jakov Bibulovic, Ontario Conference President. He emphasised the importance of being united in purpose and of delivering a clear, universal message to the world through various media, in the context of the three angels’ messages recorded in Revelation 14. “We need to assume the responsibility of a messenger, and not depend on others,” Pastor Bibulovic said. “We have to do it.” Referencing Revelation 14:9—“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice…”—he underscored that “If we want to preach with a loud voice, we need to preach in One Voice.”
Following the inspiring devotional, participants engaged in a special time of prayer, seeking God’s presence and praying for unity and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This was followed by a focused discussion on branding, providing valuable guidance and practical insights for all Adventist communicators. It was emphasised that initiatives such as the Digital Outreach Day, scheduled for March 14 and every second Sabbath of each month, are designed to prepare churches for large-scale digital ministry efforts in 2027, in alignment with the OneVoice27: Mission for All global program of the General Conference.
Attendees also received an update on AdventistOntarioTV (AOTV), including ways churches can contribute to the 24/7 live-streaming programme. Excitingly, new programmes are scheduled to premiere in the coming months, promising fresh opportunities for outreach and engagement.
The Ontario Conference Network of Adventist Communicators exists to equip media and communication professionals, volunteers, and creatives with the tools, training, and organisational structure necessary to effectively support and implement communication initiatives across the Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
