Hope of Glory Evangelistic Series: A Season of Revival and Commitment
December 11, 2025 | Steven Vassell | Ajax Community Seventh-day Adventist Church
The Ajax Seventh-day Adventist Community Church hosted the Hope of Glory Evangelistic Series from November 8–29, 2025. The series was led by Pastor Theodore Sargeant, alongside Personal Ministries Leader and Elder Velma Morgan.
For three weeks, the congregation was blessed with inspiring and powerful messages from Evangelist Anthony Baugh, the former Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Director of the East Jamaica Conference, who is now pursuing a master’s degree in Canada. His prophetic presentations—delivered with clarity, conviction, and the power of the Holy Spirit—left a lasting impression, especially on the non-Adventist guests who attended. Singing Evangelist Renelle Williams ministered each evening through her beautiful and uplifting musical selections.
The Ajax Health Ministries Department, led by Church Elder Steven Vassell, provided nightly Health Nuggets, while Sherene Haase efficiently facilitated the evening quizzes. Both in-person and online participation remained active throughout the series, supported by the dedicated Communications Department Team under the leadership of Judy Hutchinson-Boyce.
The series culminated in a joyful celebration of faith featuring three baptisms. Two of the candidates—a couple who had recently dedicated their child at Ajax—were so moved by the messages that they chose to publicly commit not only their child, but also their own lives to Christ. A third individual renewed his covenant with God through baptism, and another joined the church through Profession of Faith.
The Divine Service and baptism were graced by the presence of Pastor Edwin Martin, Communications and Media Director of the Ontario Conference, along with his wife, Crisel. Additional Ontario Conference representatives who attended at various points in the series included Pastor John Scott, Youth Ministries Director, and Sherye Phillips Watson, departmental secretary for Children’s and Women’s Ministries.
Following the Divine Service, the church family enjoyed a sumptuous Sabbath lunch organised by the Hospitality Team led by Orell Watson, and later gathered for an uplifting evening musical concert coordinated by Karen Howell. After the concert, Pastor Baugh delivered his final message of the series.
In his closing remarks, Pastor Baugh expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support of every church department and shared that he, too, was personally blessed by the experience. We give all glory and praise to God and continue in prayer as we work diligently towards our next Evangelistic Series.
