Hope for the End Time: Lives Transformed at Pentecost 2025

From November 7 to 15, 2025, the Toronto Pilipino Seventh-day Adventist Church became a place of renewed hope, unwavering faith, and unmistakable spiritual power as three congregations came together for Pentecost 2025 and Beyond: Hope for the End Time. In partnership with Fairhavens Filipino Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Ilocano Seventh-day Adventist Company, the week-long evangelistic series drew hearts back to God and reminded everyone that the Holy Spirit is still moving mightily today.
Night after night, under the dynamic preaching of Pastor John Lomacang, 3ABN Director of World Evangelism, an average of 175 attendees gathered each night, culminating in a final Sabbath attendance of 370. Over nine evenings, Pastor Lomacang led listeners through a compelling journey—from the sobering reality that the end is near to the joyful assurance that Jesus alone is our way out. He revealed the Holy Spirit as the true Agent of change, guiding believers back to God’s perfect law and His blessed day of worship. He also offered comfort in the promise of hope beyond the grave, practical wisdom for daily living, and an invitation to experience renewal through baptism.
One of the most beautiful testimonies came from Daisy, a ten-year-old Pathfinder whose simple yet profound faith touched many hearts. With childlike sincerity, she declared that she chose baptism “because I love Jesus.” Her words reflected the essence of the series—a call to follow Christ with wholehearted devotion.
Another moving story came from Reza and her daughter,Venice, who recently immigrated to Canada. They shared how God gently guided their family towards community, belonging, and truth. “This is our first year in Canada, and we’ve been fortunate enough to find a wonderful community of friends who share our Christian values and have become like family to us,” Reza shared. “One of the greatest blessings we've received is the opportunity for my daughter to attend Crawford Adventist Academy, where she was immediately accepted and felt completely at home. It’s truly an answered prayer! Our journey took a significant turn when we were inspired by Pastor Lomacang’s teachings and witnessed miracles during the Pentecost. That experience led us to convert to Adventism and become a part of this beautiful family. We are beyond grateful!”
By the end of the series, 13 individuals publicly declared their faith through baptism—eight from Toronto Pilipino, two from Fairhavens Filipino, and three from the Ilocano Adventist Company. Each decision was a joyful celebration of God’s grace and a reminder that heaven rejoices when even one soul returns to Him.
Supporting the nightly programs was a dedicated volunteer team from all three churches, serving in hospitality, music, audiovisual, prayer ministries, personal ministries, deacons and deaconesses, Master Guides, Pathfinders, Adventurers, and more. Their united efforts reflected the true spirit of Pentecost—believers working together with one purpose and one hope.
Special appreciation goes to Mark Almanzor, Head of Personal Ministries, and Cheddie Williams, both elders of the Toronto Pilipino Adventist Church, whose leadership and vision brought this collaborative effort to life. Through prayer, planning, and countless hours of preparation, the series became not just another event, but also a spiritual milestone for the community. The series was further strengthened by the pastoral leadership of Ruel Malabrigo, Mon Ryan Llamado, and Roderick Edralin.
As the series concluded on November 15, one truth shone brightly: Pentecost is not merely a moment in history—it is a living testimony that God still empowers His people today. Christ’s glorious return is certain, near, and filled with hope for all who choose Him, and the outpouring witnessed over these nine nights is only the beginning of what God is ready to do in the days ahead.
May the seeds planted continue to grow, and may every heart remain open to the hope found in Jesus alone.
