Empowering Ambassadors: Highlights from the CPRE Boot Camp 2
December 4, 2025 | Rochelle Thomas | Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
November 23, 2025, marked a significant day for the Church Planting, Revitalisation, and Evangelism (CPRE) Department of the Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Members gathered both in person and online at the Mount Zion Filipino Adventist Church for the God’s Ambassador CPRE Boot Camp 2, where they participated in three seminars and a workshop designed to equip leaders for mission.
The day began with a devotional thought by Vaughn Thomas, First Elder and Personal Ministries Director at the Gordon Town Seventh-day Adventist Church in St. Andrew, Jamaica. Elder Thomas reminded attendees that, as Paul stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17-20, to be reconciled to God means to make peace with God. He also emphasised that being an ambassador for God requires allegiance to God’s kingdom, not dual citizenship with the kingdom of darkness.
Dr. Alex Golovenko led two insightful seminars: How to Plant a Small Group Church and How to Use the Natural Church Development (NCD) Assessment. His presentations offered practical strategies and spiritual encouragement, helping participants understand the steps to establish small group churches and utilise NCD assessments for sustainable growth. Many attendees expressed appreciation for the clarity and actionable guidance given.
Dr. Sereivudh Ly, CPRE Director, conducted a seminar and workshop on How to Develop a Church Revitalisation Strategic Plan. He equipped pastors, elders, and church leaders with a Strategic Plan Toolkit and strategies to effectively implement lessons learned during the boot camp.
A member from the Toronto Nigerian Adventist Church initially joined online but later travelled to the Mount Zion Filipino Church to attend the afternoon sessions in person—an inspiring testament to the value and impact of the event.
The CPRE Department extends heartfelt appreciation to all presenters, the catering team, and every participant who contributed to making the God’s Ambassador CPRE Boot Camp 2 a success.
Mark your calendars!
The next CPRE Boot Camp will be held March 27–29, 2026. Let us continue to build strong, vibrant communities of ambassadors as we move into 2026.
