Consecrated to Serve: Ruth Chronicles Induction and Investiture

Centred on the theme “Consecrated to Serve,” the Ruth Chronicles Master Guide Club held its investiture and induction service on December 13, 2025, at the Ruth Seventh Day Adventist Church in Brampton, ON.
“Consecrated to Serve” illustrates the dedication and willingness required to spread the gospel, as well as the humility to serve others. This investiture and induction service was a confirmation of this vow. During the divine service, the Ruth Chronicles invested six new Master Guides, and one Master Guide was recognised for successfully completing her recertification in Ontario. Pauline Bennette, Bruno Burchert, Martha Burchert, Coleen McDonald, Tanisha Powell-Cooke, Thalia Rickets-Smith, and Latoya Miller-Fowler were formally welcomed into the Master Guide Ministry by MG Cherrie Anne James, Ontario Conference Master Guide Council Executive Coordinator, and MG Obert Bafana, Peel District Coordinator.
The club expresses sincere gratitude for the support of the Ruth Alpha Centauri Drum Corps and the Pathfinder Club, the Ruth Explorers Adventurer Club, the Oracles Master Guide Club, the Ebenezer Master Guide Club, as well as the District and Area Coordinators who attended the services in celebration of the Master Guide Day.
Special thanks are extended to the Master Guide Choir for blessing the congregation with the special music, “He is God,” and to Pastor Edwin Martin—former AMP Ministries director and current Communication Director of the Ontario Conference—who delivered the sermon “Ready When He Calls.” Pastor Martin concluded his message with a powerful appeal inspired by Isaiah 6:8, encouraging everyone to be ready to respond and willing to be sent when God calls.
During the Adventist Youth service in the afternoon, the Induction Ceremony was held. The Ruth Chronicles inducted and welcomed Jerimiah Anowu, Elias Damson, Kysanne Forest-Turner, Alicia Johnson, Karema Madden, Pastor Adrian Wallace, and Jayden White into the club. Their vow to join the Master Guide Ministry and serve through the Adventurer, Pathfinder, and Youth Ministries—guiding children and youth to Christ—beautifully embodied the message of Isaiah 6:8: “Here am I, send me!”
