Community Fun Day Brings Hope, Health, and Smiles to the Community

On July 12, 2026, the Toronto Portuguese Seventh-day Adventist Church, in partnership with Gospel Heights Church, welcomed neighbours, families, and friends for a vibrant Community Fun Day dedicated to serving others and strengthening community connections.
The event reflected our shared commitment to demonstrating God's love through practical acts of kindness. Throughout the afternoon, visitors were invited to browse a large selection of donated clothing, allowing individuals and families to freely take the items they needed.
Volunteers from the Toronto Portuguese Seventh-day Adventist Church also provided a variety of health and wellness services. Guests enjoyed complimentary massages, explored informative displays highlighting the principles of Adventist health, and refreshed themselves with freshly prepared natural fruit juices served throughout the day—especially appreciated during the warm summer weather.
Children had plenty to enjoy at dedicated activity stations, where they played, created, and had fun in a safe and welcoming environment. The Golfinhos Adventurer Club from the Toronto Portuguese Adventist Church also hosted a special children's area, distributing books and Bible figurines to young visitors. It quickly became one of the day's most popular attractions.
The event was filled with smiles, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to build new friendships. It also strengthened partnerships with one of our local police agencies, further reinforcing our commitment to serving the wider community.
Most importantly, the day reminded us that serving others is one of the most powerful ways to share Christ's love. We are deeply grateful to every volunteer, partner, and attendee who helped make this Community Fun Day such a success. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2027!
