Celebrating Men and Boys
November 20, 2025 | Allan Chichester | Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
On November 19, the world joined together in honouring International Men’s Day—a special occasion dedicated to recognising the positive influence that men bring to their families, churches, workplaces, and communities. This annual observance offers us a meaningful opportunity to celebrate strong role models, highlight the importance of healthy masculinity, and affirm the value of men’s mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
The global theme for 2025, “Celebrating Men and Boys,” invites us to reflect not only on the accomplishments of men but also on the responsibility we share in nurturing the next generation. Boys learn what it means to lead, love, and serve by watching the men around them. When we uplift men, we uplift the boys who are following in their footsteps.
As we journey through the remainder of 2025, let us be intentional in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to all men—for your leadership, your mentorship, your courage, and the Christ-like example you set each day. Your presence strengthens homes, inspires youth, and brings stability to communities. May the Lord continue to guide, empower, and bless you abundantly as you walk in His purpose.
From the Ontario Conference Men’s Ministries Department, we stand firm in our ongoing mission:
“Building Men. Strengthening Families. Impacting Communities.”
And as our motto reminds us: “Be Strong.”
May God’s grace uphold you, and may your influence shine brightly in the lives of boys and men everywhere.
