On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the Brampton Seventh-day Adventist Church proudly celebrated the achievements of its youth members who graduated from kindergarten through to Secondary School for the 2024-2025 academic year. The special recognition ceremony, held at the church's location at 37 Millstone Drive, Brampton, honoured nine graduates: one from kindergarten, one from elementary school, three from middle school, and four from high school. The service was led by Education Ministries Leader Rosalee Pryce, First Elder Oliver Pryce and Lead Pastor Kevan Barnaby.
A highlight of the program was the keynote address delivered by Dr. Reynold Hazlewood, Superintendent of Schools, who challenged graduates to have "Resolve, Readiness, Rectitude, Radical purpose and Resilience." This was preceded by a heartwarming musical performance by the graduates and their parents of the song "I Know That I Can Make It." Certificates and special gifts were presented to all graduates, and the Valedictory Address was delivered by Nyomi Murray, an Ontario Scholar and graduate of Mayfield Secondary School, who will begin her Bachelor of Arts in Commerce at the University of Toronto this fall.
In recognition of exceptional academic achievement and voluntary services to the church and community, three students received scholarships of $500 each, generously sponsored by members of the church community. More than 100 members, families, and well-wishers attended the event in person, while 98 families joined online via the church's YouTube channel to share in the celebration.
Following the graduation ceremony, the Education Department hosted a Career Symposium, where five young adults from the church shared insights into their respective careers. The session was moderated by Ajay Woolery and Jenene Miller, both of whom are currently pursuing undergraduate degrees in Architecture at the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) University and Andrews University, respectively.
Special thanks to our graduates, parents, families, scholarship sponsors, the pastoral team, and the entire Brampton Church community for making this celebration a success.
Congratulations to our graduates. We are proud of you!
