From October 18 to 28, 2025, the Bramalea Filipino-Canadian and Blessed Hope Seventh-day Adventist Churches celebrated Pentecost 2025 with the inspiring theme "The Gospel of Joy." For ten nights, music, testimonies, and powerful preaching reminded the congregation of the transforming power of God's Word in the church.
The featured speakers for the series were Pastors Leo Launio and Mon Ryan Llamado, both known for their dynamic, Christ-centred messages and passion for evangelism. Their preaching highlighted that a living relationship with Jesus Christ, rather than fleeting worldly pleasures, provides true joy.
The nightly topics explored the fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, with a focus on joy, each designed to uplift and strengthen faith. Sermons such as “The Word that Gladdens the Heart,” “Joy in the Eastern Sky,” "Joy in the Morning,” “Ten Words and One Song,” and “Habits that Keep Joy Alive” drew deeply from the Bible's well of hope. Together, they highlighted that joy is more than a fleeting emotion—it is a fruit of the Spirit that anchors and sustains believers through every season of life.
Each evening, the sanctuary overflowed with lively praise and heartfelt worship. Uplifting congregational singing created a joyful atmosphere, while personal testimonies from members and baptismal candidates demonstrated God's grace at work. Young people participated in music ministry, families gathered together, and visitors felt a genuine spirit of welcome and warmth.
A memorable highlight of the series took place on October 25, during the culmination of the Sabbath program, when seven precious souls publicly declared their faith in Christ through baptism. As each one stepped into the waters, the congregation rejoiced, echoing the message of Luke 15:7—"There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." The moment was both solemn and jubilant, a beautiful testament to the fact that the Gospel of Joy continues to transform lives today.
Pastor Launio reminded the congregation that the Second Coming is the most anticipated and joyous event a Christian can look forward to—and that true, lasting joy is found only in Jesus. Pastor Llamado inspired everyone with the assurance that the threefold “Hallelujahs” in Revelation 19 guarantee God's triumph over sin, justice against the evil one, and salvation for all.
The ten-day series ended on a high note with renewed commitments to Bible study, prayer, and active ministry. The series strengthened ministries, deepened friendships, and encouraged many to keep inviting others to share in this joy. As Pentecost 2025 concluded, the message was clear: preaching God's Word with power and receiving it with faith brings overflowing joy. This event not only inspired the local church but also set the tone for a spiritual revival and mission. Truly, the Gospel of Joy continues to shine—one heart at a time.
