Adventist Ministries Convention Theme Song Contest

The Ontario Conference Adventist Ministries Convention (AMC), themed “Disciples on Fire,” will take place March 13–14, 2026, at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto Hotel & Suites in Richmond Hill, Ontario. To enrich the worship experience, the Planning Committee hopes to feature an original theme song for the event.

All Adventists in Ontario with a gift for songwriting are warmly invited to participate in the “Disciples on Fire” Theme Song Contest. Please submit your compositions by December 31, 2025.

Rules

1. Eligibility

• Open to all Adventist members of the Ontario Conference.
• Participants may enter individually or as part of a group. However, only one prize will be awarded per winning entry, regardless of group size.

2. Theme

• The song must be an original composition that aligns with the AMC theme, “Disciples on Fire.”
• It should be memorable, inspiring, and Christ-centred, reflecting the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20.

3. Submission Guidelines

• Each participant or group may submit one original song through the www.adventistontario.org website.
• Song length must be 2–3 minutes.
• Submissions must be uploaded in MP3 format.
• Lyrics must be included as a PDF file.
• A cover letter must accompany the submission, including the composer’s:
  • full name
  • mailing address
  • email address
  • phone number
  • church membership

4. Deadline

• All entries must be received by December 31, 2025.

5. Judging Criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on:

• creativity
• thematic relevance
• lyrical quality
• musicality
• overall impact

6. Prize

• The winner will receive a $100 gift card and a music trophy.

7. Copyright

• Participants retain full rights to their original work.
• By submitting an entry, participants grant the Ontario Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church the right to use the song for promotional purposes without additional permission or compensation.

8. Disqualification

• Any entry that fails to follow contest rules—including plagiarism or inappropriate content—will be disqualified.

9. Announcement of Winner

• The winner will be announced on January 31, 2026, via the Ontario Conference website and social media platforms.
