A Step of Faith: Celebrating Jeffrey Villaroya’s Baptism
Posted: May 6th, 2026

On May 2, 2026, a meaningful and faith-filled milestone took place as Pastor Sereivudh Ly baptised Jeffrey Oliver Villaroya. This sacred act marked a significant step in Jeffrey’s spiritual journey, symbolising his personal commitment to Jesus Christ through the ordinance of baptism by immersion. It also joyfully welcomed him as a new member of the Cambodian Seventh-day Adventist Company.
The baptismal ceremony was held at Mount Zion Filipino Seventh-day Adventist Church, where members and guests gathered in celebration and support. The atmosphere was one of reverence and gratitude, reflecting the importance of this public declaration of faith.
Following the baptism, Jeffrey shared a heartfelt testimony. He expressed that what had just taken place was not merely a ceremony, but a vital expression of faith—one that represents a believer’s surrender to Christ and the transformative power of His grace. He spoke about how this moment signifies a turning point in his life, marking the beginning of a renewed walk with God.
He further emphasised that baptism is an important rite of passage, symbolising the death of the old self and the rising of a new life in Christ. It also represents an individual’s acceptance into a community of believers who share the same faith and mission.
This special occasion serves as a reminder of God’s ongoing work in the lives of His people and the joy that comes when someone chooses to follow Him wholeheartedly.
