Malton Adventist Church Strengthens Community Ties Through Annual Community Connect
Posted: July 20th, 2026

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the Malton Seventh-day Adventist Church, in collaboration with the Malton Community Centre, successfully hosted its annual Community Connect in the Malton Community Centre parking lot. Blessed with beautiful sunshine and warm weather, the event brought together church members, community residents, local leaders, and community partners for a memorable day of fellowship, fun, and service.
The atmosphere was vibrant from start to finish as families and friends enjoyed a variety of activities designed to foster connection and celebrate community. Guests were treated to delicious food, inspiring musical presentations, and uplifting spoken-word messages that reflected the church's commitment to sharing Christ’s hope, love, and encouragement.
Children had endless fun on the popular bouncy castle, while adults visited the many ministry booths, where representatives from the church’s ministries and services offered year-round. These displays provided an excellent opportunity for community members to learn more about the church's mission and discover meaningful ways to worship and connect with us.
The event was honoured by the presence of several distinguished guests, including MPP Deepak Anand and Councillor Carolyn Parrish, whose attendance demonstrated their ongoing support for initiatives that strengthen the Malton community. We were also pleased to welcome members of the local Fire Department, who brought a fire truck for display and engaged attendees in important conversations about fire safety. Children and adults alike were thrilled to explore the truck, meet the firefighters, and capture memorable photographs with them.
Adding to the excitement throughout the day were numerous giveaways, including gifts and food baskets, which were warmly received by members of the community. These acts of generosity reflected the spirit of compassion and service that lies at the heart of Community Connect.
As we reflect on another successful Community Connect, we give thanks to God for the opportunity to serve our neighbours and build stronger relationships within the Malton community. We look forward to continuing this tradition in the years ahead as we seek to be a blessing to all those we serve.
"Let your light so shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:16
