Pastor Anthony V. Baugh Installed at Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church
Posted: June 17th, 2026

On June 13, 2026, the Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church marked a joyous and significant occasion with the installation of Pastor Anthony V. Baugh as its new pastor. Accompanying him in this new chapter of ministry is his devoted wife, Kareen Baugh, a respected professional who serves as an auditor with the Government of Jamaica. The installation service was officiated by Pastor Frankie Lazarus, Ministerial Secretary of the Ontario Conference, in the presence of church members, family, and friends who gathered to celebrate this special milestone.
Pastor Baugh brings to his ministry a wealth of experience, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to serving God and His church. A baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for approximately 35 years, he spent the first 15 years of his ministry faithfully serving as a lay leader. During that time, he held numerous leadership positions at the local church level, including Elder—serving six years as First Elder—Deacon, Youth Leader, Pathfinder Director, and founder of a Pathfinder Club.
As a lay member, Pastor Baugh also distinguished himself as one of the leading lay evangelists in his conference. Through his evangelistic efforts, hundreds of individuals were led to accept Jesus Christ and join the church. Recognising God's call to broader service, he entered full-time pastoral ministry in 2010 and was ordained to the gospel ministry in 2015.
Since joining the East Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Pastor Baugh has held several key leadership roles, including District Pastor, Zone Leader (Field Coordinator), Union Executive Committee Member, and Director of Sabbath School and Personal Ministries. His extensive experience in pastoral care, administration, evangelism, and leadership has well prepared him for his new assignment.
In addition to his ministerial responsibilities, Pastor Baugh remains committed to academic excellence and professional development. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, with an emphasis in Addiction Counselling, at Canada Christian College. He is also enrolled at the Inter-American Theological Seminary, where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies, a program he began in May 2021.
The Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church warmly welcomes Pastor Baugh and looks forward to his spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and continued commitment to advancing God's mission. We pray that the Lord will richly bless his ministry as he serves the Hope church family and the wider community.
