Philadelphia and Scarborough Seniors Celebrate Fellowship
Posted: May 26th, 2026

On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, the seniors of the Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Scarborough Seventh-day Adventist Church gathered for a joyful social meet-and-greet fellowship hosted by the Scarborough Seniors Ministry under the leadership of Jeanette Austin-Waithe.
The gathering was filled with warmth, love, laughter, and meaningful conversations as members from both congregations came together in unity and Christian fellowship. It was truly a blessing to witness old friendships strengthened and new relationships formed in such a welcoming and Spirit-filled atmosphere.
Throughout the event, there was a strong sense of togetherness and encouragement as attendees shared meals, games, songs, and moments of genuine connection. This reflected the beauty of the body of Christ coming together in love, peace and harmony.
The event also served as a reminder of the importance of building bridges within the Christian community and supporting one another through faith and fellowship. Many participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect beyond regular Sabbath services and looked forward to future collaborations.
Pastor Christopher Johnson, church leaders, organisers, volunteers, and members were recognised for their contributions to the event's success through their dedication, hospitality, and prayers.
The fellowship reflected the spirit of Psalm 133:1, which states, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.” Organisers and attendees alike expressed hope for future collaborative gatherings that will continue to strengthen the bond between the two church families.
