The Budding Season
Posted: May 20th, 2026

Nature speaks not through words, but through an unwritten language that the heart can feel. It reaches us quietly, bringing a gentle cleansing to our souls. As Spring continues to reveal itself, pushing away the darkness of the cold, gloomy months, may its brightness lift our spirits and refresh our hearts.
All around us, the earth is awakening. Tiny buds and new seedlings are emerging, announcing their return. Soon they will unfold into bright, exquisite lilies and blossoms of every kind. In the same way, may our lives reflect this beauty. May we rise above the ordinary, step into our purpose, and rediscover our God-given worth. The power of God can ennoble each one of us to shine beyond measure for the cause of the Master.
When I look at the trees, I see how they endured the harshness of winter. Their branches are bare and their leaves long gone, yet they remain rooted and unshaken. The rivers and ponds also appear still and stagnant, filled with debris, as though nothing is happening beneath the surface. But even in that stillness, something beautiful is taking place. Life is preparing to move again, and nature reminds us that what looks motionless is often full of unseen activity.
Fresh shoots are budding from the trees, as if they are declaring, “We made it through the tough season because our roots held firm.” And just like those trees, we too face seasons that sometimes strip us down. There are moments when everything feels dormant and bare, as though our lives are on hold. Yet, if our hope is anchored in Christ and we are firmly rooted in Him, we too can stand through tough times.
Remember, movement is coming. Even when life feels stagnant and nothing seems to be changing, God is still at work beneath the surface. Rugged seasons do not define us; instead, they prepare us for growth. Fresh buds of promise are forming, and flowers of new beginnings are getting ready to bloom for you.
Your budding season may be now. Embrace it. Welcome Spring with expectation, knowing that, with Christ, renewal and restoration are always possible.
“Even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland will rejoice and bloom with spring crocuses. Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The desert will become as green as the mountain of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the Plain of Sharon. The Lord Display His Glory: the splendour of our God” Isiah Ch 35:1-2 (NLT)
