Camp meetings are special occasions for fellowship, revival, and spiritual renewal. They also offer meaningful outreach opportunities for church members to invite friends, family, and others seeking hope. In these warm and inviting environments, many people encounter the gospel for the first time—and their lives are changed.

Ellen G. White highlighted the unique evangelistic impact of these gatherings when she wrote:

"The camp meeting is one of the most important agencies in our work. It is one of the most effective methods of arresting the attention of the people and reaching all classes with the gospel."

Testimonies for the Church, vol. 6, p. 31

Camp meetings are also places of learning and growth. She described them as a training ground where ordinary members are equipped for effective service:

"The camp meeting is a school where workers may receive instruction in practical methods of labour."

Evangelism, p. 68

In 2026, the Ontario Conference transitions from a single large camp meeting to a network of regional and ethnic gatherings focused on discipleship. These smaller, more accessible settings are designed to deepen relationships, strengthen community, and equip believers for mission within their local context.

Camp meetings strengthen both heart and hands—reviving spiritual life while preparing members for service. All are encouraged to participate in and support their regional gathering. As we meet across the province, may each location become a place of renewal, connection, and intentional discipleship.

Why Regional Camp Meetings?

In 2026, the Ontario Conference will not host the customary large camp meeting at the International Centre. Instead, the year will be devoted to a series of regional and ethnic camp meetings across the province, each intentionally centred on discipleship. These localised gatherings will create opportunities for churches and communities to connect more personally, build deeper relationships, and nurture mission-focused believers within their own regions.

All members are warmly encouraged to attend and support the camp meeting nearest to them. As we gather in smaller yet spiritually enriching settings throughout Ontario, we pray that each regional camp meeting will become a place where hearts are renewed, friendships strengthened, leaders encouraged, and disciples equipped for service in God's Kingdom.

Will there be enough space for all members to attend the regional camp meetings?

Attendance depends on the venue selected by each region. If the venue is too small, churches will decide how many members can attend the camp meeting in person, while the rest will watch the event at their local church via the AdventistOntarioTV YouTube channel, Roku TV, and Amazon Fire TV.
