A New Chapter at Apple Creek: Welcoming Pastor Deon Rose and Family

Sabbath, August 29, 2026, will be remembered as a significant and historic day in the life of Apple Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church. The congregation joyfully welcomed its new Assistant Pastor, Deon Rose, along with her daughter, Skyy, and son, Romone, into the Apple Creek Church family.

A spirit of excitement, gratitude, and anticipation filled the congregation as members celebrated this new chapter in the life and ministry of the church. The occasion was particularly significant as Pastor Rose became the first woman to serve in a pastoral role at Apple Creek, marking an important milestone in the congregation’s history.

From the warm words of welcome to the many expressions of love and appreciation, Pastor Rose and her family were embraced with genuine Apple Creek hospitality. Pastor Rose expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception extended to her and her family.

Pastor Rose also blessed the congregation with a timely and inspiring message entitled “The Call.” Through the Word of God, she reminded the congregation that when God calls, He calls us to faithfulness, obedience, service, and deeper dependence upon Him. Her message was fitting for the beginning of her ministry at Apple Creek and served as a powerful reminder that every believer is called to participate in God’s mission.

As Senior Pastor, I am delighted to welcome Pastor Rose to the pastoral ministry team at Apple Creek. We affirm the gifts, calling, experience, and passion for ministry that God has placed upon her life. I look forward to working alongside her as we provide pastoral leadership, nurture our members, strengthen our ministries, reach our community, and advance the mission of Christ.

Pastor Rose, Apple Creek welcomes you! We affirm your ministry, we will pray for you, we will support you, and we look forward with great expectation to what God will accomplish through your ministry among us. To Skyy and Romone, we warmly welcome you as well. You are now an important part of the Apple Creek family.

Special appreciation is extended to our elders, ministry leaders, Hospitality Ministry, Music Ministry, Audio-Visual and Communications teams, deacons and deaconesses, and all the departments and individuals who worked together to make the worship service, fellowship lunch, and meet-and-greet a beautiful expression of Christian love and hospitality. Thank you for making August 29 a day our church family will long remember.

As we begin this new chapter together, may we move forward with faith, unity, prayer, and a shared commitment to mission. The God who calls is the God who equips, empowers, and sustains.
