Our Mission

The mission of Children's Ministries is to reach out to children and draw them into a loving, productive relationship with Jesus Christ and with their church community through training and support resources for those who minister to children.

Our Goals

1. Grace oriented ministries, in which volunteers approach Bible study, teaching and ministry from a perspective based on the gospel elements of grace, worship, community, and service,

2. Relational ministries, in which volunteers make friends with children, and help them form a friendship with Jesus.

3. Inclusive ministries, so that both the volunteers who minister and the children to whom they minister will be involved in planning and implementation of the ministry, regardless of race, skin color, language, gender, age, or socioeconomic circumstances,

4. Informed ministries, so that trained personnel understand the children, their own mission and effective methods for children's outreach and nurture,

5. Professional ministries networks that support and encourage those who minister to children so that they can inform, train, and empower each other for effective ministry to children.

6. Cooperative ministries that join with Family, Youth, Pathfinder, and Personal Ministries, as well as with Stewardship, Sabbath School, and pastoral ministries to effectively fulfill the mission of the church.
