Ontario Conference Gearing up for 2019 Ministries’ Convention

Monday, September 10, 2018/Categories: Conference News

Ontario Conference is pleased to announce that plans are underway for its biennial event training church ministry leaders, pastors and volunteers.

From Friday, March 23, to Saturday, March 24, 2019, the ministries convention will offer training for nearly all ministries at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel, Richmond Hill.

Training church leaders for effective service is an ongoing priority at the Conference. New for 2019, the convention will incorporate the REACH theme, “education for discipleship,” into the training workshops as well as the plenary sessions.

Our objective is that this training will equip leaders with new skills while empowering them to be disciples and make disciples in their specific ministries.

Attendees will benefit from the expertise of leaders from across the Ontario Conference and other conferences, as well as the North American Division and the General Conference.

“We can’t begin to estimate the value that ministry leaders have gained from Relevant (2015) and Optimum (2017) – Ontario Conference’s two most recent ministries’ conventions,” said Halsey Peat, assistant to the president for strategic planning. “In March 2019, ministry leaders will have an experience that will spiritually enrich them and dramatically change them, their ministries and their churches. We are excited about what God is going to accomplish through Ministries Convention 2019 for the growth of the church in Ontario.”

For more evidence that Ministries Convention 2019 is a can’t-miss event, check out some testimonials from 2017—

 “This was definitely a ‘higher ground’ experience. The high spiritual momentum came with the focus being on Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God, as the solution for the current needs of the church.” ~Pastor Todor Levterov

 “I think this has been the best conference I’ve attended. The workshops were great.  It’s one of the first times that I can go home to my church with a few things I can implement immediately.” ~Sam, Kitchener-Waterloo

 “The professionalism and organization was above par and sets an example for us pastors to emulate in our churches…I go back to my church revived and excited to do ministry.” ~Pastor Francis Douville

Training will begin on Friday evening and continue with three sessions on Sabbath morning, afternoon (following divine service) and early evening.

We will provide additional information on training schedules and registration fees in future editions of the OCN. As soon as registration opens, secure your spot so you don’t miss out!
